A one-size-fits-all approach does not work when it comes to the variety of conditions, concerns, and injuries we see every day in our clinic. Whether you have complex foot needs, athletic goals, or require general skin or footwear advice, we will develop a personalised plan that suits your unique requirements and goals. By recognising and targeting specific underlying issues, symptoms, and conditions, we can pursue several goals, such as reducing ankle pain, recovering from foot injuries, treating nail conditions, and boosting foot health.

CBR Podiatry provides professional and tailored assessment and treatment of foot, ankle and lower leg conditions by a leading Canberra podiatrist. Whether you have long-standing heel pain that requires resolving or acute pain caused by an ingrown toenail, we’re here to treat the cause, not just the symptoms.
We believe in patient-centred podiatry care customised to your individual needs. Our personalised treatment plans assist with reducing pain and discomfort, aiding mobility and improving overall foot health.
At our inner North Canberra foot care clinic, located at the O’Connor shops, we assess, diagnose and treat an extensive range of podiatry conditions utilising the latest research.
We welcome new patients from all over Canberra, including Belconnen, Dickson, Canberra City (Civic) and surrounds. We’re also well-positioned if you’re visiting us from regional areas such as Murrumbateman and Yass.
Conditions Treated by CBR Podiatry
Improving and maintaining good foot and lower limb health and functionality can have significant roll-on effects on the rest of your body and well-being, and podiatry can play a pivotal role.
Our podiatrist will examine, diagnose, and manage a wide range of foot, ankle, and lower leg conditions. CBR Podiatry’s objective is to improve your lower limb movement, comfort, and function, addressing issues from childhood growth to sports-related injuries to chronic medical conditions.
Some conditions we regularly treat include:
Heel pain is a frequent and often disabling condition, caused by various factors, that can significantly affect your everyday life. Our principal podiatrist has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating its root causes.
Are you suffering from heel pain? It may be caused by plantar fasciitis (also known as plantar fasciopathy). This condition involves damage to the thick band of tissue that connects the heel to the toes and can occur for a number of reasons such as overuse and injury. We offer tailored treatment plans for this common foot ailment.
Bunions are protrusions that develop at the base of the big toe joint and are often accompanied by discomfort and difficulty wearing shoes. They can lead to a variety of issues, such as reduced mobility and irritated skin. Arthritis may develop in the joint and cause further issues. We help treat and manage pain and inflammation and provide footwear advice.
Achilles tendon pain and irritation often arise from overuse, repetitive strain, or a sudden spike in physical activity. We provide personalised treatment plans for this condition and guide you through your rehabilitation process.
An ingrown toenail can be very painful, where the side or corner of the nail, often on the big toe, grows into the skin. This can result in swelling, pain, trouble wearing shoes, and infection. Our experienced podiatrist will evaluate the condition and offer the best treatment, including nail trimming or minor surgery, all at our local clinic.
Orthotics can greatly improve your movement, body alignment, and overall comfort. We offer a wide range of orthotics tailored to your individual foot care needs and lifestyle, including custom-moulded, heat-moulded, and off-the-shelf orthotics. We also offer orthotic solutions for high heels and fashionable footwear.
Shin Splints
Shin splints, a general term linked to pain and inflammation along the shinbone, can be a painful condition that affects your daily activities. We provide biomechanical assessments to evaluate your movements and mobility, allowing us to create a tailored plan for improvement and prevention.
Flat Feet
Flat feet are caused by excessive foot pronation or hypermobility, rather than low arches, which is a common misconception. This may lead to discomfort, instability, or injuries, and can affect other areas around the body due to misalignment. We will examine how your feet and legs move through biomechanical assessments and develop a plan to support your feet.
Posture or Alignment Issues
Misalignment of the joints or muscles in the lower limbs can affect your whole body. Our biomechanics assessments thoroughly evaluate your posture, alignment, and musculoskeletal health. We will then create a targeted plan to address your specific needs.
Are skin and nail issues causing you discomfort or embarrassment? We diagnose and treat a range of conditions such as corns, cracked heels, fungal infections, hard skin and athlete’s foot. We also provide general skin and nail care to help you maintain good foot health.
There are numerous treatments available for verrucae, also known as warts or plantar warts. At CBR Podiatry, we evaluate your foot health and identify the type of wart before selecting a suitable treatment.
We offer podiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for children aged 5 and above. From toe walking and leg pain to injuries, we address many childhood foot concerns. Our principal podiatrist, Nick, is a member of Australian Paediatric Podiatry and is ready to help your family.
If you have been diagnosed with diabetes, it is vital that your foot health is monitored regularly by an experienced professional. During a diabetes review, we will discuss your concerns, goals and current diabetes management strategies and perform several assessments. We will then send a report to your GP. Our podiatrist will also advise you on how to care for your feet to minimise the risks of serious complications in the future.
A heel spur is a bony growth on the heel bone that can lead to pain and discomfort, especially during activities like walking or running. We provide biomechanical assessment appointments to assess the severity of your condition and develop a personalised treatment strategy.
Video gait analysis offers a scientific way to observe your walking or running patterns, giving us insights into how your movements affect different areas of your body and your overall functionality and health. This tool can be key in identifying the cause of pain or injury and improving performance. At CBR Podiatry, we incorporate gait analysis into our biomechanical assessments, where we pinpoint limitations and weaknesses to design a personalised management plan.
As a trusted provider of podiatry and foot care services to NDIS participants (both self and plan-managed), CBR Podiatry offers an initial consultation and assessment, develops a care plan aligned with your healthcare goals, and provides regular reassessments during your care.
