Conditions Treated by CBR Podiatry
Taking care of your foot and lower limb health and function can significantly impact your entire body and well-being, with podiatry playing an essential role in these outcomes.
Our podiatrist is skilled in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad spectrum of foot, ankle, and lower leg conditions. CBR Podiatry’s mission is to boost your lower limb mobility, comfort, and functionality, dealing with concerns ranging from childhood development to athletic injuries to long-term health conditions.
Conditions we often address include:
Heel pain is a widespread and debilitating issue, stemming from numerous conditions, which can disrupt your daily activities. Our principal podiatrist is well-versed in identifying and treating the underlying cause.
Experiencing heel pain? It might be caused by plantar fasciitis, also known as plantar fasciopathy, which damages the thick tissue connecting the heel to the toes. This can result from overuse or injury. We offer personalised treatment options for this common condition.
Bunions are protrusions that develop at the base of the big toe joint and are often accompanied by discomfort and difficulty wearing shoes. They can lead to a variety of issues, such as reduced mobility and irritated skin. Arthritis may develop in the joint and cause further issues. We help treat and manage pain and inflammation and provide footwear advice.
Achilles tendon pain and irritation often arise from overuse, repetitive strain, or a sudden spike in physical activity. We provide personalised treatment plans for this condition and guide you through your rehabilitation process.
Ingrown toenails can be quite painful, with the nail’s side or edge, often on the big toe, growing into the surrounding skin. This can cause pain, swelling, difficulty wearing shoes, and even infection. Our experienced podiatrist will assess your condition and provide the best treatment options, from nail trimming to minor surgery, at our local clinic.
Orthotics can make a considerable difference to your movement, alignment, and overall comfort. We offer a comprehensive range of orthotics to suit your unique foot care requirements and lifestyle, including custom-moulded, heat-moulded, and prefabricated orthotics. We also provide specialised orthotics for high heels and fashion shoes.
Shin Splints
Shin splints, a general term linked to pain and inflammation along the shinbone, can be a painful condition that affects your daily activities. We provide biomechanical assessments to evaluate your movements and mobility, allowing us to create a tailored plan for improvement and prevention.
Flat Feet
Flat feet are often due to excessive foot pronation or hypermobility, not necessarily low arches, which is a common misunderstanding. This condition can cause discomfort, instability, or even injuries, potentially impacting other areas of the body through misalignment. We offer biomechanical assessments to evaluate your foot and leg movements and create a plan to provide the right support.
Posture or Alignment Issues
Misalignment of the joints or muscles in the lower limbs can affect your whole body. Our biomechanics assessments thoroughly evaluate your posture, alignment, and musculoskeletal health. We will then create a targeted plan to address your specific needs.
Are skin and nail issues causing you discomfort or embarrassment? We diagnose and treat a range of conditions such as corns, cracked heels, fungal infections, hard skin and athlete’s foot. We also provide general skin and nail care to help you maintain good foot health.
There are numerous treatments available for verrucae, also known as warts or plantar warts. At CBR Podiatry, we evaluate your foot health and identify the type of wart before selecting a suitable treatment.
Our services include assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for children aged 5 and up. We treat various children’s podiatry concerns, like toe walking, leg pain, and injuries. Nick, our principal podiatrist, is a member of Australian Paediatric Podiatry and is excited to support your family’s foot care needs.
If you have been diagnosed with diabetes, it is vital that your foot health is monitored regularly by an experienced professional. During a diabetes review, we will discuss your concerns, goals and current diabetes management strategies and perform several assessments. We will then send a report to your GP. Our podiatrist will also advise you on how to care for your feet to minimise the risks of serious complications in the future.
Heel spurs are bony projections that form on the heel bone, often causing pain and discomfort, particularly during walking or running. We offer biomechanical assessments to determine the severity of your condition and create a tailored treatment plan.
Video gait analysis offers a scientific way to observe your walking or running patterns, giving us insights into how your movements affect different areas of your body and your overall functionality and health. This tool can be key in identifying the cause of pain or injury and improving performance. At CBR Podiatry, we incorporate gait analysis into our biomechanical assessments, where we pinpoint limitations and weaknesses to design a personalised management plan.
CBR Podiatry is proud to deliver podiatry and foot care services to NDIS participants, whether self or plan-managed. We provide an initial consultation and assessment, develop a podiatry care plan that meets your healthcare objectives, and carry out regular reassessments as part of your care plan.
