Diabetes
If you have been diagnosed with diabetes it is important that you have your lower-limb health monitored on a regular basis. The very real risks to lower-limb health that diabetes presents are easily overlooked, especially when other conditions are present.
An annual diabetes review serves to evaluate the health of your lower limbs in a number of ways. We will talk to you about your concerns, goals and current management strategies and perform a number of assessments. These have a focus on blood supply and nerve damage. The results of a range of assessments are used to determine your risk of diabetes-related foot complications. A report is then sent to your GP. Our podiatrist will also give you advice on how to care for your feet in order to minimise the risks of serious complications into the future.
