Conditions We Treat at CBR Podiatry

Enhancing and preserving the health and function of your feet and lower limbs can lead to substantial benefits for your overall body and well-being, with podiatry playing a crucial part.

Our podiatrist is skilled in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad spectrum of foot, ankle, and lower leg conditions. CBR Podiatry’s mission is to boost your lower limb mobility, comfort, and functionality, dealing with concerns ranging from childhood development to athletic injuries to long-term health conditions.

We commonly treat a variety of conditions, such as:

heel pain treatment Acton

Heel pain is a widespread and debilitating issue, stemming from numerous conditions, which can disrupt your daily activities. Our principal podiatrist is well-versed in identifying and treating the underlying cause.

plantar fasciitis Acton

Experiencing heel pain? It might be caused by plantar fasciitis, also known as plantar fasciopathy, which damages the thick tissue connecting the heel to the toes. This can result from overuse or injury. We offer personalised treatment options for this common condition.

Bunions Acton

Bunions are growths that appear at the base of the big toe joint, frequently causing discomfort and shoe-fitting problems. They can lead to reduced mobility and irritated skin. Arthritis may develop in the joint, adding to the complications. We provide treatment to manage pain, reduce inflammation, and offer footwear recommendations.

Achilles Tendonitis Acton

This condition, marked by pain and irritation of the Achilles tendon, frequently results from overuse, repetitive stress, or sudden physical activity changes. We deliver a customised treatment plan and assist you through the rehabilitation process.

ingrown toenail treatment Acton

An ingrown toenail typically involves the side or corner of the nail, often the big toe, growing into the skin, causing pain, swelling, and sometimes infection. Wearing shoes can become difficult. Our experienced podiatrist will assess your condition and suggest appropriate treatments, ranging from nail trimming to minor surgery, at our local clinic.

Orthotics Acton

Orthotics can greatly improve your movement, body alignment, and overall comfort. We offer a wide range of orthotics tailored to your individual foot care needs and lifestyle, including custom-moulded, heat-moulded, and off-the-shelf orthotics. We also offer orthotic solutions for high heels and fashionable footwear.

Shin Splints Acton

Shin Splints

A broad term that is associated with pain and inflammation along the shinbone, shin splints can be an uncomfortable ailment that impacts your daily life. We offer biomechanical assessments, which allow us to assess your movements and mobility and develop a suitable program for improvement and prevention.

Flat Feet Acton

Flat Feet

Flat feet, commonly misunderstood as being caused by low arches, actually result from excessive foot pronation or hypermobility. This can lead to discomfort, instability, or injuries, and misalignment may affect other areas of the body. We will assess your foot and leg movements through biomechanical analysis and design a support plan for your feet.

foot posture Acton

Posture or Alignment Issues

When joints or muscles in the lower limbs are misaligned, it can impact your entire body. We offer comprehensive biomechanics assessments to address your individual posture, alignment, and overall musculoskeletal health. A personalised plan will be created to meet your unique needs.

skin and nail treatment Acton

Are skin and nail issues causing you discomfort or embarrassment? We diagnose and treat a range of conditions such as corns, cracked heels, fungal infections, hard skin and athlete’s foot. We also provide general skin and nail care to help you maintain good foot health.

wart removal Acton

Verrucae, or plantar warts, can be treated in various ways. At CBR Podiatry, we assess your foot health and determine the specific type of wart to recommend the most appropriate treatment.

Children’s Podiatry Acton

We offer podiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for children aged 5 and above. From toe walking and leg pain to injuries, we address many childhood foot concerns. Our principal podiatrist, Nick, is a member of Australian Paediatric Podiatry and is ready to help your family.

diabetic foot care Acton

If you have been diagnosed with diabetes, it is vital that your foot health is monitored regularly by an experienced professional. During a diabetes review, we will discuss your concerns, goals and current diabetes management strategies and perform several assessments. We will then send a report to your GP. Our podiatrist will also advise you on how to care for your feet to minimise the risks of serious complications in the future.

heel spurs Acton

A heel spur is a bony growth on the heel bone that can lead to pain and discomfort, especially during activities like walking or running. We provide biomechanical assessment appointments to assess the severity of your condition and develop a personalised treatment strategy.

Video Gait Analysis Acton

Video gait analysis offers a scientific way to observe your walking or running patterns, giving us insights into how your movements affect different areas of your body and your overall functionality and health. This tool can be key in identifying the cause of pain or injury and improving performance. At CBR Podiatry, we incorporate gait analysis into our biomechanical assessments, where we pinpoint limitations and weaknesses to design a personalised management plan.
