A one-size-fits-all approach does not work when it comes to the variety of conditions, concerns, and injuries we see every day in our clinic. Whether you have complex foot needs, athletic goals, or require general skin or footwear advice, we will develop a personalised plan that suits your unique requirements and goals. By identifying and focusing on specific underlying factors, symptoms and conditions, we can work towards a range of target outcomes, such as reducing ankle pain, rehabilitating foot injuries, healing nail conditions, and improving overall foot health.

We welcome new patients from all over Canberra, including Belconnen, Dickson, Canberra City (Civic) and surrounds. We’re also well-positioned if you’re visiting us from regional areas such as Murrumbateman and Yass.
Common Conditions CBR Podiatry Treats
Taking care of your foot and lower limb health and function can significantly impact your entire body and well-being, with podiatry playing an essential role in these outcomes.
Our podiatrist will evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of foot, ankle, and lower leg conditions. At CBR Podiatry, we aim to enhance your mobility, comfort, and overall lower limb function, addressing everything from childhood growth issues to sports injuries to chronic health problems.
Conditions we often address include:
Heel pain is a frequent and often disabling condition, caused by various factors, that can significantly affect your everyday life. Our principal podiatrist has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating its root causes.
Do you have heel pain? One possible cause is plantar fasciitis (also called plantar fasciopathy), which involves injury to the thick tissue that links the heel to the toes. This can result from overuse, injury, or other factors. We provide personalised treatment plans for this frequent condition.
Bunions are hard protrusions at the base of the big toe joint, typically causing discomfort and shoe difficulties. They can result in limited mobility and skin irritation. Arthritis may also develop in the joint, worsening the condition. We assist in treating pain, managing inflammation, and offering footwear advice.
Characterised by pain and irritation of the Achilles tendon, this condition commonly occurs due to factors such as overuse, repetitive stress, and sudden increases in physical activity. We offer a customised treatment plan for this painful problem and support you through rehabilitation.
An ingrown toenail typically involves the side or corner of the nail, often the big toe, growing into the skin, causing pain, swelling, and sometimes infection. Wearing shoes can become difficult. Our experienced podiatrist will assess your condition and suggest appropriate treatments, ranging from nail trimming to minor surgery, at our local clinic.
Orthotics can transform the way you move, enhance your body’s alignment, and boost your comfort and functionality. We supply a broad selection of orthotics to suit your specific needs and lifestyle, including custom-moulded, heat-moulded, and prefabricated options. We even provide orthotics for high heels and fashion shoes.
Shin Splints
A condition linked to pain and inflammation along the shinbone, shin splints can cause significant discomfort in your everyday life. We offer biomechanical assessments to analyse your movement and mobility, allowing us to create a personalised program for both improvement and prevention.
Flat Feet
Flat feet are caused by excessive foot pronation or hypermobility, rather than low arches, which is a common misconception. This may lead to discomfort, instability, or injuries, and can affect other areas around the body due to misalignment. We will examine how your feet and legs move through biomechanical assessments and develop a plan to support your feet.
Posture or Alignment Issues
If joints or muscles in the lower limbs are not aligned properly, your whole body can be affected. We provide a thorough biomechanics assessment to address your specific posture and alignment concerns and your overall musculoskeletal health. We will develop a focused plan to target your unique requirements.
Are skin and nail concerns making you uncomfortable or embarrassed? We diagnose and manage a range of issues, including corns, cracked heels, fungal infections, hard skin, and athlete’s foot. We also provide routine skin and nail care to promote healthy feet.
There are many treatment options for verrucae, commonly referred to as warts or plantar warts. At CBR Podiatry, we examine your foot health and identify the wart type to choose the best treatment approach.
We offer podiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for children aged 5 and above. From toe walking and leg pain to injuries, we address many childhood foot concerns. Our principal podiatrist, Nick, is a member of Australian Paediatric Podiatry and is ready to help your family.
If you have diabetes, regular foot health monitoring by a skilled professional is essential. During a diabetes review, we will address your concerns, goals, and current management strategies, followed by thorough assessments. A report will be sent to your GP, and our podiatrist will provide guidance on how to care for your feet to reduce the risk of serious complications.
Heel spurs are bony outgrowths on the heel bone that can result in pain and discomfort, particularly when walking or running. We perform biomechanical assessments to evaluate the severity and offer a customised treatment plan based on your needs.
Video gait analysis is a scientific method of observing how you walk or run. It allows us to understand how your unique movements are impacting various areas of your body and your overall health and functionality. This useful tool can help determine the cause of pain and injury and assist in improving your performance. CBR Podiatry provides gait analysis as part of our biomechanical assessment process. We identify restrictions and weaknesses and provide you with a tailored management plan.
CBR Podiatry is honoured to provide podiatry and foot care services to NDIS participants, whether self-managed or plan-managed. We offer an initial consultation and assessment, create a podiatry care plan tailored to your healthcare objectives, and conduct regular reassessments throughout your care plan.
