Common Conditions CBR Podiatry Treats

Maintaining and improving foot and lower limb health can create positive ripple effects on the rest of your body and overall well-being, and podiatry is key in this process.

Our podiatrist is skilled in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad spectrum of foot, ankle, and lower leg conditions. CBR Podiatry’s mission is to boost your lower limb mobility, comfort, and functionality, dealing with concerns ranging from childhood development to athletic injuries to long-term health conditions.

We commonly treat a variety of conditions, such as:

heel pain treatment Turner

Heel pain is a common and often disabling condition, resulting from a range of causes, and it can heavily interfere with your routine. Our principal podiatrist has experience in diagnosing and treating the source of the pain.

plantar fasciitis Turner

Do you have heel pain? One possible cause is plantar fasciitis (also called plantar fasciopathy), which involves injury to the thick tissue that links the heel to the toes. This can result from overuse, injury, or other factors. We provide personalised treatment plans for this frequent condition.

Bunions Turner

Bunions are growths that appear at the base of the big toe joint, frequently causing discomfort and shoe-fitting problems. They can lead to reduced mobility and irritated skin. Arthritis may develop in the joint, adding to the complications. We provide treatment to manage pain, reduce inflammation, and offer footwear recommendations.

Achilles Tendonitis Turner

Characterised by pain and irritation of the Achilles tendon, this condition commonly occurs due to factors such as overuse, repetitive stress, and sudden increases in physical activity. We offer a customised treatment plan for this painful problem and support you through rehabilitation.

ingrown toenail treatment Turner

An ingrown toenail typically involves the side or corner of the nail, often the big toe, growing into the skin, causing pain, swelling, and sometimes infection. Wearing shoes can become difficult. Our experienced podiatrist will assess your condition and suggest appropriate treatments, ranging from nail trimming to minor surgery, at our local clinic.

Orthotics Turner

Orthotics can greatly improve your movement, body alignment, and overall comfort. We offer a wide range of orthotics tailored to your individual foot care needs and lifestyle, including custom-moulded, heat-moulded, and off-the-shelf orthotics. We also offer orthotic solutions for high heels and fashionable footwear.

Shin Splints Turner

Shin Splints

A broad term that is associated with pain and inflammation along the shinbone, shin splints can be an uncomfortable ailment that impacts your daily life. We offer biomechanical assessments, which allow us to assess your movements and mobility and develop a suitable program for improvement and prevention.

Flat Feet Turner

Flat Feet

Flat feet result from excessive pronation or hypermobility, rather than simply low arches, which many believe is the cause. This can lead to pain, instability, or injuries and may affect other parts of the body due to misalignment. We perform biomechanical assessments to observe how your feet and legs move, helping us to create a support plan for your feet.

foot posture Turner

Posture or Alignment Issues

If joints or muscles in the lower limbs are not aligned properly, your whole body can be affected. We provide a thorough biomechanics assessment to address your specific posture and alignment concerns and your overall musculoskeletal health. We will develop a focused plan to target your unique requirements.

skin and nail treatment Turner

Do skin and nail issues cause you discomfort or embarrassment? We offer diagnosis and treatment for conditions like corns, cracked heels, fungal infections, hard skin, and athlete’s foot, along with general skin and nail care to help maintain your foot health.

wart removal Turner

Verrucae, also known as warts or plantar warts, have several treatment options. At CBR Podiatry, we first assess your foot health and pinpoint the wart type to select the most suitable treatment.

Children’s Podiatry Turner

We offer podiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for children aged 5 and above. From toe walking and leg pain to injuries, we address many childhood foot concerns. Our principal podiatrist, Nick, is a member of Australian Paediatric Podiatry and is ready to help your family.

diabetic foot care Turner

If you’re living with diabetes, it’s important that your foot health is routinely checked by an experienced professional. During a diabetes review, we will talk through your concerns, goals, and current management, carry out assessments, and provide a report to your GP. Our podiatrist will offer advice on proper foot care to minimise the risks of complications down the track.

heel spurs Turner

A heel spur is a bony outgrowth that develops on the heel bone. It can cause pain and discomfort, especially when walking or running. We offer biomechanical assessment appointments to evaluate the severity of your condition and provide you with a personalised treatment plan.

Video Gait Analysis Turner

Video gait analysis is a scientific approach to studying how you walk or run, helping us understand the effects of your movements on different parts of your body and your overall health and functionality. This valuable tool can uncover the root cause of pain and injury, as well as enhance your performance. At CBR Podiatry, gait analysis is included in our biomechanical assessments, where we identify any restrictions and weaknesses to create a customised management plan.

NDIS podiatry Turner

CBR Podiatry is honoured to provide podiatry and foot care services to NDIS participants, whether self-managed or plan-managed. We offer an initial consultation and assessment, create a podiatry care plan tailored to your healthcare objectives, and conduct regular reassessments throughout your care plan.
